Community leaders, previous Wild for Cat donors, and future Wild for Cat donors are invited to learn how Wild for Cats donations have supported LHHS academics and learn about the goals for the current school year’s campaign. Those in attendance are asked to raise awareness of Wild for Cats, assist with fireside chats, and otherwise help with fundraising efforts.
Fireside chats are usually held in neighborhood homes, but can also be virtual or hosted by local businesses. They give Lake Highlands residents and parents an opportunity to become educated about Wild for Cats and discuss academic topics with a panel of administrators, teachers, parents and/or students.
Fireside Chats are held each year for all grade levels, featuring topics on courses and electives, testing, college readiness and college application tips.
Upcoming Fireside Chats
October 29, 2023 on the Cedar & Vine Patio from 6:00-8:00 to discuss College & Career Readiness
Stay tuned for information on more fireside chats!
WFC hosted two virtual fireside chats in 2022 – you can view those recordings below:
“High School Class Selection Process” – 8th Grade Fireside Chat recording
“Finishing High School Strong and the College Application Process” – College Admissions Fireside Chat recording

Each fall, donors at the $500+ level are invited to a donor appreciation event in the Wildcat Stadium Club for dinner and fellowship during a Lake Highlands home football game. Wild for Cats and the athletic booster, Wildcat Club, usually co-host this event.
Wild for Cats fundraising coordinators arrange spirit nights throughout the year with local businesses where a percentage of receipts is donated back to Wild for Cats. If you are interested in partnering with Wild for Cats for a spirit night, email us at [email protected].
