from the Lake Highlands High School Education Foundation |
In this season of gratitude, the volunteers with the Lake Highlands High School Education Foundation would like to pause to express our thanks to our generous community and for the opportunity to make a difference in our future.
The LHHSEF was established in 2021 to provide a means for partnering with Lake Highlands High School, LHHS alumni, and the broader Lake Highlands community to support education-based initiatives and academics at LHHS. This is accomplished through the Wild for Cats annual fundraising campaign to enhance educational opportunities for all students and staff, and the LHHS Alumni Association which, through networking and class gifts, is creating a long-lasting legacy of support for LHHS.

Members of Lake Highlands High School’s 1963 District Champion football team, the first team to win a district title for LHHS, were introduced at the LHHS Homecoming pep rally as part of Homecoming festivities. Pictured, left to right, are: Andy Anderson, Mark Schumann, Captain Roy Gene Evans, Coach Jacky Russell, Captain Jerry Ashby and Steve Phillips. It was a homecoming to remember, as Wildcats gathered to see friends, trade memories and share updates with their fellow Wildcats.

Show your appreciation for those who give so much to our students and community. Here’s your invitation to join with the Lake Highlands Education Foundation in gifting a renovated Faculty Lounge in LHHS’ L and H Halls.
But wait, it gets even better: Now, with a matching grant from a 1982 LHHS alum, your donation goes twice as far! Please help us refresh this space to help school faculty feel comfortable and have a space they can use for projects outside of the classroom during the workday. |
Every dollar counts as we move closer to our goal. You can purchase specific items for the lounge – a chair, for example, at $50 – or contribute any dollar amount toward this renovation. Construction is set to begin during winter break.
Thanks to a few generous donors, including the Class of 1970 and the Class of 1983, we are almost halfway to our goal. With your help, we can get there! Lake Highlands is Talking About It
